Suqing Na⁺ form strong acid cation exchange resin is a water softening media for selected domestic, commercial and light-industrial softening systems.

This resin is designed to exchange calcium and magnesium hardness ions in compatible systems, helping reduce scale risk where the softener vessel, resin volume, flow rate and regeneration method are suitable.

It can be used for softener refills, refillable cartridges, RO pretreatment, boiler feedwater pretreatment and other hardness reduction applications where system design and operating conditions are appropriate.

Performance depends on feedwater hardness, resin volume, flow rate, regeneration efficiency, brine strength and system configuration.

Selection Guide

Before ordering softening resin, check your existing softener vessel size, cartridge type, required resin volume, regeneration method, feedwater hardness and intended application.

Strong acid cation resin in sodium form is commonly used for hardness reduction where calcium and magnesium ions need to be exchanged for sodium ions.

Pack size should be selected based on the required resin volume of your cartridge or vessel. Do not rely on pack size alone if your system requires a specific fill height, bed depth or regeneration setting.

For RO pretreatment, boiler feedwater or commercial softener applications, confirm that the resin volume, regeneration frequency and system flow rate are suitable for your water quality and operating conditions.

Usage, Handling & Storage

Rinse or flush the resin according to the requirements of the softener or filter system before normal use.

This resin is supplied in sodium form and is designed for regeneration using suitable sodium chloride brine. Typical regeneration uses a 10–15% NaCl solution, depending on the system design and regeneration procedure.

Handling and storage notes:

  • Keep the resin sealed until use
  • Store in original sealed packaging
  • Store below 40°C
  • Avoid drying out the resin
  • Avoid freezing
  • Avoid contamination during handling
  • Avoid ingestion
  • Handle with suitable gloves
  • Do not mix with incompatible media unless the system is designed for it
  • Replace or regenerate resin according to hardness loading, flow rate, system design and water quality
