Size & Micron Selection

Select this product if your housing accepts standard 20" x 4.5" Big Blue cartridges.

Big Blue cartridges are commonly used where higher flow, larger dirt-holding capacity or longer replacement intervals are preferred compared with slimline cartridges.

Lower micron ratings capture finer sediment but may require more frequent replacement in dirty water. Higher micron ratings are better for coarse sediment, first-stage protection and higher-flow applications.

1 micron: finer sediment polishing
5 micron: common general-purpose sediment filtration
10 micron: balanced sediment protection and flow
20 micron: coarse sediment pre-filtration
50 micron: first-stage protection for larger particles, rainwater and pump protection
