Suqing Water Softening Resin – 25L Commercial Bag is a Na-form strong acid cation exchange resin designed for commercial water softening and hardness reduction applications.

This resin is used to exchange calcium and magnesium ions in hard water with sodium ions, helping reduce scale formation in suitable water softening systems. It is commonly used in commercial softeners, boiler pretreatment, RO pretreatment, dishwashers, laundry systems and process water applications.

The 25L commercial bag is suitable for softener refill, maintenance replacement, installer supply and bulk resin replacement across commercial and light industrial water treatment systems.

For best results, resin selection should be based on feedwater hardness, resin volume, system capacity, regeneration settings, service flow rate and operating history.

How It Works

Na-form strong acid cation exchange resin softens water by exchanging hardness ions such as calcium and magnesium for sodium ions held on the resin beads.

During service, hard water passes through the resin bed and hardness ions are captured by the resin. Once the resin becomes exhausted, it is regenerated using a sodium chloride brine solution, typically 10–15% NaCl, to restore softening capacity.

Correct regeneration settings, brine concentration, flow rate and rinse cycles are important for maintaining resin performance and system reliability.

Usage, Regeneration & Storage

Before use:

  • Rinse thoroughly before first use
  • Install according to the softener or vessel manufacturer’s instructions
  • Ensure correct flow direction, distributor condition and bed depth
  • Do not overload the vessel beyond the system design

Regeneration:

  • Regenerate using sodium chloride brine solution
  • Typical regeneration concentration: 10–15% NaCl
  • Follow the softener controller or system manufacturer’s regeneration settings
  • Ensure adequate slow rinse and fast rinse after regeneration

Storage:

  • Store in the original sealed packaging
  • Keep below 40°C where practical
  • Avoid direct sunlight, freezing, drying out or contamination
  • Shelf life is typically 2–3 years when sealed and stored correctly

  • Not for ingestion
