Standard Equipment & Instruments FAQs
Are these systems ready to install?
Some standard systems may be supplied as packaged or skid-mounted units, while others require site-specific plumbing, electrical work, pretreatment or commissioning support. Installation requirements depend on the product, water source and application.
How do I choose between RO, UF and MF systems?
RO is generally used when dissolved salts or TDS reduction is required. UF and MF are mainly used for physical filtration of suspended solids, turbidity and selected microorganisms. The right system depends on the feed water quality and treatment target.
When do I need UV disinfection?
UV is commonly used where microbial control support is required without chemical dosing. It is usually installed after filtration, because suspended solids and turbidity can reduce UV effectiveness.
What are dosing pumps used for in water treatment?
Dosing pumps are used to inject controlled amounts of chemicals such as antiscalant, chlorine, pH correction chemicals or cleaning chemicals into a water treatment process. The correct pump depends on the flow rate, chemical type, dosing range and control method.
What instruments are useful for water treatment systems?
Common instruments include pH meters, TDS or conductivity meters, ORP meters, flow meters and pressure gauges. These help with basic water testing, troubleshooting, commissioning and routine system checks.
Can Crystwater help size or select standard equipment?
Yes. Send your water source, required flow rate, target water quality, available space and any existing test results or photos. Crystwater can help narrow down suitable standard equipment or advise when a custom solution is more appropriate.
